UIDAI launches SITAA to combat deepfakes & advance biometric tech

UIDAI has launched the Scheme for Innovation and Technology Association with Aadhaar (SITAA) to strengthen India’s digital identity ecosystem. In partnership with MeitY Startup Hub and NASSCOM, it invites startups, academia, and industry to create secure solutions for Face Liveness Detection, Presentation Attack Detection, and Contactless Fingerprint Authentication. Applications close on November 15, 2025.
