Urban VPN Extension Secretly Harvests Millions of AI Chat Prompts

Urban VPN Proxy, a Chrome extension with 6M users, silently harvests AI chat prompts from ChatGPT, Gemini, and others. Version 5.5.0 enabled data harvesting by default, sending conversations to remote servers. Koi Security exposed the issue. Despite an “AI protection” feature, data collection persists. Other extensions from the same publisher exhibit similar behavior.
