LightSpeed Photonics raised $6.5M in pre-Series A funding led by pi Ventures with 500 Global, totaling $8.5M. Founded in 2021 by Rohin Y and Ramana Pamidighantam, it builds compact optical interconnects using short-wavelength lasers for faster, energy-efficient data transfer in AI and HPC. The funds will set up an R&D center and accelerate product commercialization and pilot deployments.
