BSNL Rolls Out Nationwide VoWiFi Calling to Bridge Coverage Gaps

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) has launched VoWiFi across all telecom circles in India, enabling WiFi-based calling and SMS using existing numbers. Powered by IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), it improves indoor coverage, eases network congestion, and strengthens rural connectivity, forming a key pillar of BSNL’s broader modernization and upcoming 5G plans.
