India Digitizes Land Records in 19 States

India’s Department of Land Resources announced Thursday that citizens in 19 states can now download digitally signed banks in 406 districts verify mortgages online. 97% villages have computerized Records of Rights, digitized maps; 84% integrate data with ULPIN (Aadhaar-like) on 36cr parcels. Urban mapping covers 116 ULBs; 17 states adopt registration system linking 88.6% offices.
