OpenAI Launches ChatGPT Translate as WhatsApp Pullout Follows Meta Policy Shift

OpenAI on January 15 launched ChatGPT Translate at chatgpt.com/translate, supporting over 50 languages with a dual-pane interface and tone controls, while disabling voice and image input. At the same time, it shut down ChatGPT on WhatsApp after Meta’s new Business API rules, affecting over 50 million users and other AI providers like Perplexity AI, Luzia, and Poke.
