Prosus is increasing its stake in ixigo to 15% for ₹620-660 crore, totaling nearly ₹2,000 crore investment. This strategic re-entry into India’s travel sector makes Prosus ixigo’s largest shareholder and marks its first Indian PIPE investment. The move enhances Prosus’s consumer platform strategy alongside Swiggy, Meesho, Urban Company, and Rapido, while providing ixigo global expertise, tech infrastructure, and funding to compete with MakeMyTrip and EaseMyTrip.
