Travis Beals of Paradigms of Intelligence unveiled Project Suncatcher, aiming to scale AI through solar-powered satellite constellations with TPUs and optical links. Operating in low Earth orbit, the system achieved 1.6 Tbps transmission and shows stable orbital models. With Google’s radiation-tolerant v6e TPUs, a 2027 Planet mission will test hardware as launch costs near competitiveness by the 2030s.
