Adani Defence Systems & Technologies has acquired a 72.8% stake in Flight Simulation Technique Centre (FSTC), India’s largest independent flight training provider, for an enterprise value of ₹820 crore. The deal, executed through a joint venture with Prime Aero Services LLP via Horizon Aero Solutions Limited, was announced on November 27, 2025.
FSTC operates 11 advanced full-flight simulators and 17 training aircraft, with simulation centers in Gurugram and Hyderabad, and flying schools in Bhiwani and Narnaul, Haryana. Certified by India’s DGCA and EASA, it offers comprehensive training from commercial pilot licenses to specialized courses.
The acquisition comes as Indian airlines are expected to induct more than 1,500 aircraft over the coming years, with industry projections that nearly 20,000 new pilots will be required over the next decade. Adani Defence positioned simulator-led training as a way to lower costs and improve safety, while also highlighting growing opportunity in defence pilot training and mission rehearsal as the armed forces increase their use of advanced simulation.
Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence & Aerospace, said integrating FSTC with existing assets such as Air Works and Indamer Technics will allow the group to offer an end-to-end aviation services stack, from civil and defence MRO to comprehensive pilot training. ADSTL is a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd, which has been expanding aggressively across airports, green energy, data centres and defence as part of a broader infrastructure and services strategy.
