Instagram Expands AI Reel Translation and Typography Support for Indian Languages

Instagram is expanding AI-powered creation tools in India, adding voice translation, dubbing, and lip-syncing for Reels in Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Marathi, bringing support to nine languages. Meta’s generative AI preserves creators’ tone, offers optional lip-sync, and labels translated Reels. Instagram is also adding Devanagari and Bengali-Assamese scripts in Edits, with Android support coming soon.
